After a long walk from Katy Trail, we decided to treat ourselves to a meal at Culinary Dropout. This is my second time at Culinary Dropout (the first was at a Yelp event a couple months back), and it was just as delicious! I recommend ordering the fried chicken and biscuits. The dish comes with a side of coleslaw and mashed potatoes with gravy. The coleslaw had a hint of apple juice, which was refreshing! The chicken was fried to perfection, the biscuit was warm and fluffy, and the mashed potatoes were amazing! My husband and I both enjoyed our lunch on the rooftop. The restaurant is gorgeous. Also, amazing service!

I visited with a group of 6, and it was a great spot for a casual night out! The portion sizes are perfect for sharing, which made it easy for everyone to try a little bit of everything. The restaurant has a huge rooftop, which will be awesome when the weather cools down, perfect for watching games or grabbing drinks with friends. As far as starters go, the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket were fantastic--great choices for sharing and absolutely delicious! I ordered the Korean Style Ribeye Cap. It it was tasty, but not my favorite dish of the night. I'd definitely be curious to try something else next time. Parking was easy, with plenty of space available and valet if you prefer. Overall, it's a great spot for a group hangout or a casual date night. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Does 3 times in a month make you a regular? Well I think it's between the cocktails and Brussel sprouts that I can't make at home keeps me coming back. I hosted my birthday brunch here and came back for dinners with friends I appreciate how the service is consistent and so is the food. There's a new menu out and I've had the salmon which was cooked perfectly and Brussel sprouts. I think I'll have to be back in time to try the desserts tho

My husband and I recently celebrated our five year wedding anniversary at Culinary Dropout for a sunny Saturday brunch and it was delicious! The fried chicken really blew my mind at how juicy and tender it was with the perfect crisp. What I'll get again: the steak frites, the fried chicken, and maybe the brussel sprouts. Cocktails: the espresso martini and the campfire vibes cocktail which was exquisite! The deviled eggs were just okay and the wagyu pigs in a blanket were a bit too dry for me. Absolutely amazing service and just know that the fried chicken is made fresh so be prepared to wait. Thanks CD for a great anniversary brunch!

Very cute place! I came here for the rooftop but unfortunately there was a big party there so we weren't able to check it out. But the resturant itself was nicely decorated and the food was good! My favorite was the duck fried rice. It's a must!

This is a very trendy two level restaurant that was located within 1 mile of the hotel we were staying at, the Hilton Anatole. The inside is very nicely decorated with a theme of wood tones, greenery and modern light fixtures. On the first level there's a bar in the middle and in the back there's a nice stage area. The staff were friendly. We reserved through Open Table since we went for dinner on a weekend. They had live music on Saturday nights, but we finished dinner before they started their set. Our food came out very quickly, and they have nice sized portions but the food was very delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner out with friends or family!

Simply amazing experience! Service was exceptional! Professional, personable and knowledgeable about the company's history and menu options. I ordered the deviled eggs to start they were amazing! Food quality is similar to a Chilis. My food was lukewarm and presentation is not high. Many options to choose from and we'll definitely have to return to try more options.

Amazing experience must try. Nice atmosphere! Absolutely must try if you're in the DFW area.

After hearing about Culinary Dropout for what feels like forever, I finally gave it a shot--and now I'm kicking myself for not going sooner. This place is everything I imagined and more. From the moment you walk in, you're warmly greeted by a team that doesn't follow the typical uniform rules, instead rocking their own unique styles. It added a fun, relaxed vibe that I absolutely loved. We kicked off the evening with drinks. I went with my go-to, an Old Fashioned, which was perfectly made, and my friend enjoyed a refreshing Paloma Spritz. Both were spot-on and a great start to the meal. But the highlight? The Mongolian Short Rib. Tender, flavorful, and served with charred scallion, broccolini, soft egg, crispy rice, and a kick from the Thai chili--it was out of this world. My friend opted for the Spicy Vegan Curry, which came with griddled sweet potato, eggplant, snap peas, cauliflower, shiitake mushrooms, and black rice. She added salmon, which was a fantastic touch. The curry had just the right amount of spice without being overpowering, and the black rice was a delightful surprise. Everything about this visit was a win--from the welcoming atmosphere to the creative, well-executed dishes. I'm already eyeing their happy hour, and I can't wait to go back for another round. Highly recommend!
